Safusa has won the $100,000 Wyong Magic Millions 3YO Stakes at Wyong Racecourse today December 22, 2011.
The Elusive Quality gelding won the race by a convincing two lengths ahead of placegetters Angel Of Mercy and Ingham Magic.
Trainer David Pfeifer was thrilled with the win and now plans to take Safusa to Queensland for the $1 million Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas on Saturday January 14, 2012.
“He’s a very nice horse and he’s getting better with every run,” Pfeiffer said.
“He’s done the job again and he’s done it well too.
“He’s got a great turn of foot.
“They’ve been winning on the fence here all day and (jockey Jay Ford) made use of it.
“Straight to the Gold Coast from here (with) three weeks between runs,” the trainer said.
“It seems to suit him if we stay on top of him.”
Jockey Jay Ford will remain with Safusa in the Gold Coast magic Millions 3YO Guineas 2012.
“He continues to improve. He’s a speedy type,” Ford said.
“Naturally the next stop is the Gold Coast.”
