244 two-year-olds have made this list for second acceptances for the 2012 Golden Slipper Stakes on Saturday April 7, 2012.
Gai Waterhouse has nominated a total of 13 juveniles for the 2012 Golden Slipper Stakes, including Driefontein.
Driefontein won last month’s $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast after a protest lodged against original winner, and stablemate, No Looking Back was upheld.
The Fastnet Rock filly has won all three of her previous race starts and has earned close to $1.3 million in prize money.
Waterhouse has also accepted for start juvenile Raceway, who won the $70,000 Warwick Farm 100 Club Plate last start.
Raceway was purchased from the Australian Easter Yearling Sale in 2011 for $150,000 and has since won more than $40,000 in prize money.
The trainer also accepted for No Looking Back, who finished second in the 2012 Magic Millions 2YO Classic after losing it in protest.
The Redoute’s Choice dilly has won one of her two race starts and has earned more than $340,000 in prize money.
Mama’s Choice is also amongst the 2012 Golden Slipper Stakes second acceptances.
The young filly shot to fame after winning the 2012 Emirates Airline Stakes at Caulfield last weekend.
Trainer David Hayes was thrilled with her performance on debut.
“She was pretty impressive, wasn’t she?” Hayes beamed.
“She joined in very quickly, put it away just as quickly, then switched off.”
Tuscan Haze and Lucia Bella are also included in the 2012 Golden Slipper second acceptances.
