The Golden Rose Stakes is a Sydney Turf Club Group 1 horse race held at the Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney every August/September. As part of the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival the event is for three-year-olds at set weights over a distance of 1,400 metres. The set weights for the race are at 55.5kg for colts and geldings and 53.5kg for fillies. With prize money of $1 million the Golden Rose Stakes is the richest event at the Carnival.

Golden Rose Stakes History
A recent addition to the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival calendar, the Golden Rose Stakes was first run in 2003, with In Top Swing taking the top spot. Beginning as a Principal event, the Stakes became a Group 2 race in 2007 before achieving its Group 1 status in 2009. The fastest time for the Golden Rose Stakes is 1.22.43 by Forensics in 2007.
